A Decline in the amount of mosquito bed nets.
Global efforts to curb malaria are stalling after a drop in funds to buy bed nets, according to the latest report wednesday from the world health organization.
The funding for the fight against malaria has been reducing since the past three years. If the number of bed net reduce to much, many more people will lost their lives.

“Victory over this ancient foe is still a long way off,” WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan wrote in the report. WHO says it has less than half of the $5.1 billion it needs for its malaria efforts.
Last month, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, a leading international donor, temporarily stopped buying bed nets from the two top manufacturers after a corruption scandal.
Please lets not stop helping to fight against this deadly disease. "YES WE CAN"://www.washingtonpost.com/

Due to google alerts and RSS, I have been able to learn and  understand so many things about malaria. All the new things on malaria campaigns all over the world come to me without me going to them this is so fantastic.
While reading some stories from google alerts, I found this story and decided to share with all those who visit my blog.
Simon Estes is an african american in Iowa who has decided to help solve the problem of malaria
Estes will perform in a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. The Simon Estes Foundation along with Iowa State Students Care will host a Christmas concert in efforts to purchase thousands of insecticidal nets to help children dying of malaria in Africa.
    It is not finish.
The WHO reported this week that approximately 3.3 million lives have been saved since 2000 due to global efforts to control and eliminate malaria but much more efforts are required to control the outbreak in the future. So many people are ready to help solve this problem of malaria and this just makes me happy. This is because I don't get to do the whole work by my self since there are helping hands . So glad to know about RSS and google alerts. Don't forget our quote " YES WE CAN"
