Since October, my life has change and if I say It has not change,  then that would be dishonest of me. Global new media lab(gnml) has taught me so many things; how to use social media, how to make campaigns, how to get help when  we need it, how to consider other people's ideas, and many more.
If not because of global news media lab(gnml), I would not be here writing about malaria, I would not be here campaigning about  malaria in my home community. The online class(gnml) teaches student how to use social media to address issues in their home communities. Popular social media like facebook, instigram, twitter,linkedIn and Youtube;

    Blogger
This is the main power plants of the social media. It is in blogger that every thing about the  social media is found. And all other platforms are connected to my blog so that people can access my blog from any social media platform. Also, I post all my articles from RSS and google alerts in my blog and other new ideas about my campaign are also included in my blog.

Twitter
With twitter, I can post small messages about my social media( especially about current events) and also embed my blog in my twitter account so that people would access updates from twitter by just clicking on the link the leads to my blog.
Youtube
This one of the most popular video sharing platform on the internet. Most people watch youtube videos and by posting videos on youtube, I make the world know about my social media campaign as any body from any corner of the world can view this videos, share, and comment. My youtube videos can also be access from any other social media.
Instigram
This particular platform in very important due to the fact that I can post very captivating pictures;pictures that would attract people to my social issue. Using pictures would present my issue without me having to write sentences over and over.
LinkedIn
This is where I would be able to get ideas from professionals and peers who have experience with my social issue. LinkedIn can also be a good way to get financial support for my social issue and beside helping me for my social media, LinkedIn can make me plan for my professional career.
besides using online platforms for my social media campaign, I am planning on organizing a real malaria campaign in my home community. I personally have a grouch against malaria and I am ready to do every thing to fight malaria. Global news media lab has thought me so much in just a couple on months. Thanks global news media lab for all.

   Great News
The religious bodies are stepping up to say that they are not sleeping.Messiah Lutheran Church in Wauconda joins fight against malaria. This church has as goal raising $15million to fight against malaria in 13 sub-saharan Africa. They want to improve access to mosquito bed nets, testing medication and education.
The church uses the slogan "donate five dollars and save the life of someone you have never met" and this seems to be working. Save a person you don't know. How amazing is that.
More so, the kids in sunday school are urged to go back home and talk to their parents about how other kids around the world are suffering. If kids are though how to care for other kids like them who are in pain, wouldn't it be awesome?

Isn't this the kind of world we all want for our children? The are Having fun;the care for each other.
Somewhere out there right now is a kid who needs YOUR  help. Please don't ignore him/her and donate at least one mosquito bed net to save his/her life
Let us all step up in strength to kick malaria out of our lives.

The best news ever. Papa Bouba Diop the Fulham Midfielder declared a war on malaria. The senegalese soccer star decide to open a foundation FAM who's aim is to combat malaria in the african continent for the next five years. He is going to work alongside with the Senegalese government and governments of other african nations to reduce the impact of this preventable disease, often referred to as ‘the killer in the night’, that affects almost half the world’s population.
That is not all. The foundation is also intended to be an educational help program for kids who have been orphaned by malaria. Bouba knows what he is talking about he has been through malaria and has seen people he loved die because of malaria.

" For Bouba, 36, who was born and raised in Rufisque, Dakar, the shadow of malaria has followed him all his life.
He told The Voice: “I have grown up seeing people I know die from this disease, so it’s made a huge impact on me."

Efforts are still Been put in the Cause.
The Australian government is ready to put an end to malaria. By giving 16.3million dollars as fund to fight malaria in Asia and the Pacific. This fund will be used to decrease the number of deaths cause by malaria and also to fight against counterfeited anti malaria drugs as says the article from google alerts
"Increased population movements and rampant availability of low quality and counterfeit antimalarial medicines exacerbate the region's vulnerability to malaria, which remains a major cause of death and illness in Asia and the Pacific, with an estimated 36 million cases and around 49,000 deaths annually."
Malaria is not only in Africa, it is also found in some corners of the world but today I stand for Africa because just as kids are dying in asia and the pacific, kids are also dying in Africa and we can no longer stand and see this happen. We have to do something.Right now as I am talking , a Kid just died because of malaria. You who is reading this blog  right now can do something for it. You know you are not different from me and there is that part of you that feels bad when  you see this.Honestly all what I think of right now is how can I help this child.Help   me pass this message to all the People of good will so that the can help fight malaria.

Mrs Bruce said: “Key to progress in tackling these diseases is good co-operation between UK and other International Aid Agencies, the government health services in the affected countries, the private sector, research institutes and donors.
Thanks to people like Mrs Bruce, kids and parents

THERE IS NOW HOPE THANKS TO "MALARIA NO MORE" CAMPAIGN

Today i was so glad when ever i read a new article from my google alerts. Now there is hope in the defeat of malaria. This disease is one of the most deadly disease in the history of my kind.
But last few day the WHO announce a 51% decrease in the number of deaths cause by malaria. This due to campaigns like "malaria no more".
http://video.foxnews.com/v/2928391459001/hope-this-holiday-season-in-the-battle-against-malaria/
Now many kids are free from this disease which kills every child every second. Look at these moms with smiles on their faces due to the fact that the know their kids have a future now and that the so called malaria will have nothing to do again in these kid's lives.

Aren't you happy when you see smiles on these kid's faces or when you see these moms rejoicing because their children are doing well? It is all thanks to you and your efforts. Please don't stop helping not all kids are save. There are still some kids out there suffering . Always keeping our mission statement.
